Yellow Chic in Soho

Hello lovelies, finally a new outfit post is online. The first two weeks have been quite busy here in New York and I didn't have a lot of time to write a blogpost. On weekends I usually try to see as much of the city as possible and ok weekdays I get home quite late but I will try to manage my time management a little bit better. I must admit this issue is always on my agenda. These pictures were taken last Saturday. I was strolling through Soho when a street style photographer was asking whether I'd like to take pictures with him and since I needed some anyway it was perfect. I bought the yellow blazer at Zara although I normally don't wear yellow especially since I am blonde and I don't think it suits me particularly well but I am just in love with this jacket because it stands out so much. Admittedly I actually bought the blazer in black, red and yellow because I like it so much and I thought they were perfect to dress up an outfit, especially here for my internship since I don't have a dress code, yet want to look chic sometimes. Right now the blazer is on sale at Zara so you should get it!!

Hallo ihr Lieben, endlich mal ein neuer Outfit Post. Die ersten zwei Wochen hier in New York hatte ich kaum Zeit zu posten, weil ich am Wochenende immer los gehe um mir die Stadt anzuschauen und unter der Woche komme ich meistens auch erst spät nach Hause von der Arbeit. Ich versuche das mit meinem Zeitmanagement jetzt mal besser hinzubekommen auch wenn das normalerweise eh schon auf meiner Liste steht:D! Die Bilder sind am Samstag in Soho entstanden, als mich ein Streetstyle Fotograf gefragt hat ob ich Bilder mit ihm machen möchte und das kam mir recht gelegen weil ich eh noch Fotos brauchte :D

New York Tip Day

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute poste ich einen neue Rubrik auf meinem Blog, die ich jetzt wöchentlich posten möchte. Da ich zehn Wochen in New York verbringe, möchte ich euch so viel wie möglich davon teilhaben lassen und zeige euch alles was ich erlebt habe und gebe euch Tipps von Restaurants, Bars, Läden, etc. Deshalb habe ich auch ein FollowMeAround angefangen zu drehen über meinen Alltag in New York. Ich weiß nicht genau wann ich das hochladen werde ob in ein paar Tagen oder zwei Wochen, je nachdem wie viel Videomaterial ich habe. Würdet ihr lieber kürzere Videos sehen (ca. 20 min) oder lieber längere (ca. 40min)? Das könnt ihr mir gerne in die Kommentare schreiben.

The Crystal Bra travels to New York City

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute ist endlich Freitag und ich freue mich so sehr auf das Wochenende. Ich habe eigentlich nur am Wochenende Zeit um die Stadt ein bisschen zu erkunden weil ich meisten bis halb 7 arbeiten muss. Deshalb versuche ich immer ein paar spannende Sachen am Wochenende zu unternehmen. Morgen werde ich mit einer Freundin eine Fahrradtour durch den Central Park machen. Bin super gespannt, da ich das letzte Mal keine Zeit hatte hinzugehen, der ist ja riesig. Die Outfitbilder habe ich heute in meiner Mittagspause mit meiner super lieben Kollegin Marta gemacht. Schaut unbedingt mal bei ihr vorbei. Die Gegend bei meiner Arbeit ist super schön und direkt am Wasser gelegen es ist wie als wäre man kurz im Urlaub wenn man auf dem Pier ist. Ich bin jeden Tag fleißig am Videos drehen für mein erstes Follow Me Around was vermutlich in einer oder zwei Wochen online geht. Red Jumpsuit and Cheetah Heels

Hallo ihr Lieben, gerade sitze ich im Flugzeug auf dem Weg von Frankfurt nach New York. Normalerweise finde ich immer mindestens drei Filme die ich gerne gucken möchte, aber dieses Mal war die Filmauswahl nicht so riesig, weil ich viele der angebotenen Filme leider schon geschaut habe und dann dachte ich kann ich lieber produktiv sein und einen neuen blogpost schreiben.

Die Outfitbilder sind am Donnerstag in Maastricht entstanden. Gerade als meine Freundin und ich mittendrin waren kamen die Verkäufer vom Vespa Verleih gegenüber und haben uns gefragt ob wir ein paar Fotos mit der Vespa machen wollten – und da ich  schon immer eine haben wollte, konnte ich das Angebot nicht ausschlagen. 

H&M Loves Coachella Fringe Suit

Heute hatte ich mal etwas ganz ausgefallenes an, den jumpsuit von der H&M Reihe "H&M Loves Coachella". In letzter Zeit trage ich super gerne jumpsuits da sie so schön luftig sind und einfach mal anders aussehen als das typische Sommerkleid. Gerade deshalb habe ich mir gleich zwei weitere gekauft vor zwei Wochen. Den einen werde ich euch die Tage präsentieren und den anderen habe ich mir für New York gekauft und habe ihn deshalb noch nicht fotografiert. Noch zwei Tage und dann geht es schon los ahh. Die meisten Sachen habe ich schon gepackt, aber ich bin mir dann doch unsicher was ich alles mitnehmen soll, weil in knapp drei Monaten braucht man ja doch schon einiges. Zum Glück darf ich zwei Koffer mitnehmen, da fällt einem das Packen wenigstens ein bisschen leichter.

ENG: Hello lovelies, finally there is a new outfit post online. I will post them more regularly again, I promise! On Thursday I had my last exam and so now I am officially done with my second year of uni yaay! My visa application also got approved so now all I have to do is pack my stuff and enjoy the last few days with friends and family until I leave for New York next weekend. 

The sunglasses I'm wearing are something that I have wanted for quite some time now I just wasn't sure whether they would suit me and so I decided I shouldn't order them until last week :D I just really really really wanted them and decided to order them and just resell them if they wouldn't fit but they do and I love them :D You will see them around more often.

New York Update

ENG: Hello lovelies, only 12 more days until I will be flying to New York. I am so excited to be living in that big and exciting city for almost three months and getting to know so many new people. I have only been to New York once before and only for five days so I haven't seen too much of the city. To be completely honest most of the time I spent shopping :D Shame on me! This time its going to be different. I have so many museums on my list and sightseeing and and and... Unfortunately receiving a visa for an internship is so much work which I didn't know before. Many friends told me the company would take care of the visa but as I experienced not every company does that. Since I didn't know that from the beginning I started the application rather late and now I am hoping to actually get it in time. So my advice would be start early! This week I have an appointment at the embassy and if everything works out I will be flying out to New York next weekend. The first two weeks I will be staying at a women's place I found on Airbnb. I was really lucky to find something in Lower Manhattan that wasn't overpriced but I did look for around three weeks until I found it. To be honest I think its outrages to charge 70$ a night for a shared room which is often just the living room. The other two months I will be staying at my sisters friends apartment. I am really looking forward to it because she is a sweetheart and I am sure we will have a lot of fun together. So wish me luck that everything works out with the visa and I will keep you updated :)

GER: Meine Lieben bald geht es los nach NEW YORK. Ich freue mich so sehr diese Stadt mal richtig kennen zu lernen und zu erleben. Bisher war ich erst einmal dort und auch nur für ein paar Tage da habe ich leider nur wenig sehen können. Um ehrlich zu sein war ich die meiste Zeit shoppen. Shame on me. Das mit dem Praktikum und dem Visum ist leider auch nicht so einfach wie es scheint. Von vielen Freunden habe ich immer gehört, dass das Unternehmen sich um das Visum kümmert und bin davon auch ausgegangen bis ich letztens davon Wind bekommen habe, dass das leider nicht der Fall ist. Dann hat der Stress kurzweilig bei mir angesetzt, weil ich wusste, dass man ein Visum nicht von hier auf jetzt bekommt (hatte die ganze Prozedur ja schon für mein Auslandsjahr hinter mich gebracht).   Den ganzen Papierkram alleine auszufüllen dauert ewig. Das habe ich jetzt Gott sei Dank alles hinter mir und habe diese Woche einen Termin beim Konsulat. Dann heißt es hoffen, dass sie mir innerhalb einer Woche das Visa fertig machen und zuschicken können. Wenn nicht dann muss ich mein Praktikum leider ein paar Tage später anfangen das wäre super ärgerlich, aber den Flug habe ich deshalb extra noch nicht gebucht. Die erste zwei Juni Wochen werde ich bei einer Frau in Lower Manhattan wohnen und mein eigenes Zimmer haben. Die Wohnung ist echt ein Glücksgriff. Ich habe bestimmt drei Wochen nach einem Zimmer geschaut, aber die Preise sind einfach so hoch und ich möchte nicht unbedingt 1500 Euro für zwei Wochen ausgeben und das Zimmer war eher günstig zu all den anderen. Für die Monate Juli und August komme ich dann bei einer Freundin meiner Schwester unter und da freue ich mich schon total drauf, weil sie ist eine total nette. Also drückt mir die Daumen und ich gebe euch ein Update wenn das hoffentlich alles geklappt haben sollte :)

New In: Brakinis Bikini

Bikini: Brakinis (Model Ollie)

Are you also ready for a summer vacation when you look at this bikini? I know I definitely am. The next seven days I will spend in the library and study in the hope to remember everything that I have learned during the past seven weeks. Fortunately in eight days it is all over and I will return home to hopefully finish my visa process. I will publish a new post about the procedure and my preparations for my internship in New York shortly. 

The weather in Maastricht hasn't been good enough to lay in the sun so I am hoping besides working Monday through Friday to be able to take a day off and go to one of the Rooftop Pools in New York. I read that they are only open to the 'public' on weekdays and that they are quite pricey so I will have to go there early and enjoy the whole day. I am definitely excited to wear my new bikini there. I usually buy a new one every year although there aren't too many occasions where I can actually wear them but I guess if only for new vacation pictures they are already worth it :D

When I ordered the bikini online I wasn't sure which sizes to choose because online many people said they tend to run small. For my top I ordered a XS and I usually wear a XS and the top fit perfectly. I guess one could say that it runs slightly small but not to the extent that I would size up. For the bottoms I was super unsure whether to pick XS or S because I always vary between the two but in the end I figured its better if its too large than too small so I ordered the S and it also fit perfectly. The design is very similar to the Triangl Bikinis but Brakinis bikinis are a little bit cheaper and they also offer various models and colors to choose from.

Werdet ihr auch so urlaubsreif wie ich wenn ihr diesen schönen Bikini seht? Die nächsten sieben Tage werde ich leider in der Bib sitzen und lernen lernen lernen. Und in acht Tagen ist die Qual endlich vorbei. Dann geht es für mich nach Frankfurt um die hoffentlich letzten Visums Vorbereitungen zu treffen. Ein separater Post mit meinen New York Vorbereitungen geht die Tage online! Das Wetter war hier in Maastricht bisher leider noch nicht so gut, dass man sich hätte auf den Balkon legen und sonnen können und in New York werde ich wohl auch nicht unbedingt viel Zeit haben plantschen zu gehen, aber ich würde gerne einmal zu einem Rooftop Pool gehen. Da muss man dann nur ganz früh morgens hin um einen Platz zu ergattern und dann bis zum Schluss bleiben, damit sich der Eitritt überhaupt rentiert :D Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall meinen neuen Bikini dort anzuziehen. Ich kaufe mir meistens jeden Sommer einen neuen, weil so oft braucht man ja doch keine Bikinis, aber man möchte dann doch einen neuen haben, auch wenn es nur für neue Urlaubsfotos ist.

Als ich ihn online bestellt habe war ich mir erst nicht ganz sicher welche Größe ich genau bestellen sollte, weil online sagen alle immer etwas anderes darüber nur eine Meinung bleibt gleich: Sie fallen klein aus. Ich finde es ist kein großer Unterschied zu bemerken. Normalerweise nehme ich immer XS in Bikini Oberteilen und habe mich hier auch dazu entschieden und das Oberteil passt wie angegossen. Für das Unterteil habe ich mich für S entschieden obwohl ich lange überlegt hatte zwischen XS und S aber ich dachte mir falls sie wirklich so klein sind ist es schöner wenn sie eher zu groß ist als wenn da etwas hervorquillt :D Ich trage sonst aber auch S in den Hosen bei Victoria's Secret oder H&M. Den Stoff finde ich auch super bequem, der Bikini lässt sich also super angenehm tragen. Das Design ähnelt natürlich dem von den Triangl Bikinis, dafür sind die Bikinis von Brakinis aber nochmal ein wenig günstiger und sie haben auch eine recht große Modell  und Farben Auswahl.

Causal Animal Print Look

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute habe ich mal einen eher casual Look für euch, muss ja schließlich auch mal sein;) Besonders da in weniger als zwei Wochen schon die Exams geschrieben werden. Die Strickjacke habe ich bei H&M entdeckt als ich mir damals die Coachella Collection angeschaut habe und ich finde sie ist mal etwas anderes als die gewöhnliche graue/schwarze Strickjacke und dann musste ich sie mitnehmen.

Mal ein paar andere Neuigkeiten nicht Fashion bezogen, aber mein persönliches Leben. Gestern musste ich meine 6 Wahlen angeben und die sind dann kurzfristig doch anders geworden :D Ursprünglich sollten wir das Ergebnis erst nächste Woche erfahren, aber das ganze ging doch schneller also habe ich heute schon erfahren wo es hingehen wird: Singapur. Ab Januar 2016 bis Mai wird es für mich dann nach Singapur gehen. Ich bin super aufgeregt und gespannt und zu gleich auch ein bisschen geknickt, weil mein Freund auf die andere Seite der Welt geht, aber heutzutage gibt es Skype, whatsapp und so viel anderes also wird auch das klappen und einige meiner Freundinnen gehen auch nach Singapur, das macht das ganze noch spannender.

Hello lovelies, today I have a rather casual look for you since my exams are approaching and my days consist of studying and eating and studying and eating again :D I really like the jacket in the picture though because it is different from the basic black or grey cardigan and makes the outfit look more special. I got it a few weeks ago when I was at H&M shopping for the H&M Loves Coachella collection.

Some off topic news now. Yesterday I had to hand in my six choices for my semester abroad and of course I did rearrange my original plan and changed a few choices to make sure I am absolutely happy with every choice I made. Although the results were only supposed to be announced on Wednesday we already received our placement today and I will be going to SINGAPORE. Starting in January 2016 until May I will be living there. I am super excited on the one hand and on the other I am a little sad because my boyfriend will be living on the other side of the world but I am sure with Skype and whatsapp and everything that won't be a problem but also a lot of my friends will be going to Singapore so that makes everything even more exciting.

Where to go for my Semester Abroad?

Morgen ist es soweit: Ich muss meine sechs Wahlen angeben wo ich mein Auslandssemester verbringen möchte. Heute werde ich mich nochmal mit einer Dame von der Uni beraten und vielleicht kann sie mir weiter helfen. Man sollte meinen es ist nicht so schwierig sich zu entscheiden wo man sechs Monate seines Lebens verbringen möchte, aber ich bin der lebende Beweis, dass es doch so ist :D Dazu kommt leider, dass man sich nicht aussuchen darf wo man hinkommt, sondern, dass man nach Noten im Jahrgang gestaffelt wird und, dass man dadurch nur die Wahl bekommt die vor einem noch nicht vergeben worden ist. Wenn dann zum Beispiel alle nach Chile oder Adelaide wollen dann würde ich das nicht bekommen. Insgesamt habe ich mir diese Ziele ausgesucht: Australien, Chile, Peru, Singapur und Taiwan. Nächsten Donnerstag weiß ich allerdings schon welche Wahl ich bekommen habe also seit gespannt :)

Tomorrow is the day where: I have to hand in my six choices as to where I would like to spend my semester abroad. Today I will talk to a lady of the university who will hopefully give me some advise as to what I should put on the list and on which rank because we don't automatically get the first choice on our list. Every student is ranked according to their grades and thus, if everyone chooses Chile or Adelaide before me I will only get my third, forth, ... choice. At the moment I am thinking about these destinations: Chile, Peru, Australia, Singapore and Taiwan. I guess it is only that hard for me because I have been to neither Australia or South America and I love to experience new things and see new places and both are equally appealing to me so its really a though choice but fortunately next Thursday I will already know which choice I got so stay tuned :)
